Looks Good  :thumright:

I've been wanting to paint my deck for a while.  How difficult was it?  What kind of prep-work was involved?

Guys....all I can say is WOW...Big difference...great job.

JD, the heavy spider-cracks forward of the console are GONE.

Thanks for the compliments.  Went with Durabak for the deck.  This was suggested to me by Gonefission (Capt. John) before I even bought this boat.  Great suggestion I might add Capt. John and thanks

Deck prepping and taping were the most time consuming as expected.  Roughed deck up with 80 grit on an orbital sander.  Wiped down with xylene.  Taped off and then rolled.  This stuff is great :!:   Any kind of imperfection on the deck it will cover but yet looks like Kiwigrip or any other kind of non-skid that goes down.  Thanks to "big" Mike as he has been called for all the help.  What a face lift for this boat :!:

I have some before and after pictures that show much more detail that I will post tomorrow.  Anyone looking to paint or improve the looks of their deck (as well as some great non-skid) needs to go with Durabak.

Closer shot of the texture.  The non-skid are rubber particles:

JD,
That looks awesome, she is a far cry from the way she looked when she left my driveway, you and Mike have done an outstanding job.  Glad to hear the tank was good, just nasty huh?

Thanks Marc    She is coming around slower than I had hoped but we are getting there.  Almost ready to get her wet for the first time since she got to NC.  It will take a while to get her looking like I want.

Tank did look good.  No problems there :D

Cleaned up the appearance of the splashwell area.  Installed a new 3/4" starboard door.  This model also had the teak cap trim on the splashwell area which had been removed from the previous owner.  I installed new teak.  Here is a before picture:

Here is what it looks like now:

So, what's the next project?

This winter, I will make a fiberglass mold for the switch panel, that way we can both have new ones.  Anyone else that needs one, let us know.

Got the new leaning post installed.  Has the storage compartment and the fold down footrest (which is not in the pictures).  Have the option to have the backrest made that would slide into the rod holders, but for now I like it better this way.
