Got the new canvas installed on the t-top.  Went with a light gray color.  Very pleased how it blends with the white/gray color combo of the hull.  Electronics box was powdercoated white and installed back in.  Still need to get my vhf and gps antenna mounted back on to the top.

Caught a nice day yesterday so decided to go ahead and pull the center hatch over the tank to recore.  This to me is the worst part of it all    Hatch has had it.  More rot than I had anticipated.  No worries, just a matter of getting the old mess out as I did on the 200 CCP.

Got a much anticipated look at the tank.  Previous owner said that it was replaced 7 to 8 years ago.  I can't find any kind of sticker on the top of the tank    Unknown as far as manufacturer, gallons, etc.  I can only assume it was replaced  As you can see, the tub is very dirty and needs to be cleaned and dried out before I seal it back up.  I guess it would not hurt to clean out the tub where I can get to it?  I do realize that it needs to dry out before I seal it back up.  Anyway, here are some pictures.

Here is the hatch.  Trying to figure out what the indention is for that is rectangular?

Somebody has been in there... Never seen splices on the fill, vent and fuel line hoses before. Guess they didn`t want to deal with foam trapped hoses. Looks like you may have too.

My hatch looked kinda like that.  I got lucky and was able to just peel the bottom layer of glass off the wood and then just pop the wood out with a little work.  I'll be the rectangle is a reinforcement for a chair or leaning post.

JD,
I'd pop that tank. You're this far into it.
Big Mike will snatch that right out. :thumleft:

Also, if it's bad, you and I might want to have a little chat.

We got the tank out, recored the hatch, cleaned the tub and inspected tank.  Looks good.  We got the tank back into the boat (not in tub) so when the final layer of glass is installed on the hatch, John can drop the tank himself.  All I have to say, damn that is a big boat.  I thought the 200 ccp was big.

As Mike said made some headway on Saturday.  Got the center hatch re-cored and the tank pulled.  Special thanks to gran398(Scott) for locating the ac fir plywood for the re-core.  Thanks again Scott :salut:

Gas tank looks good    No corrosion anywhere we could find.  Not sure of the tank size.  Mike took some rough measurements and we think it might be around 85 gallons?  Won't have to be concerned with that at all.  The main problem with the tank and tub area was the poor job sealing the hatch.  That appeared to be the reason for the water intrusion.  The lip that the tank lid sits on was bare.  No type of sealant used there at all.  That won't be an issue when I seal the hatch back down.  Should have the tank back in and the hatch sealed back up by the end of the week.  Thanks to Mike for all of his help :thumright:

Here is the hatch with Mike mixing up the resin

Here is the tank to the right of the boat

Here are a couple of shots of the tank

Great, a pic of me wearing rubber gloves and trying to read tiny writing on a hardener tube.  Surprised the camera still works!
