congrats! :salut:

X43!!!  BTW, does Paige know?

Thanks guys  :)

yes, she knows.  she made me tell her a while ago I was playing for keeps so I didn't "waste her time"... whatever that's supposed to mean    so the only surprise now is when and where.

This should be discussed elsewhere as not to derail this thread.

I've got to rewire my 245TM and install 2 new battery switches and an isolator to keep my batteries charged.2 for startup in the back and 1 deep cycle under console for electronics. That will have to wait until March or so,I'm in a deep freeze right now.Glad I got my boat out last week.

finished up my fishbox project by putting weather strip all the way around the opening before screwing on the hatch lid, also put weather strip in the hinge, seems to keep out 90% of the water when cleaning the deck, overall happy with the upgrade.started putting a coat of wax on,much nicer in these temps than in the summer heat, anyway I noticed that the rubrail  [?] that covers the joint between the upper and lower halves of the cc,the insert is looking rough, looks like the rubber is deteriorating.anyway...is this just a regular rubrail insert?how much of a pain would it be to replace, especially with the t-top supports right next to it? :salut:

Pete,
How about some pics and description of the Weather stripping you used, and where did you place it, you have the hinged 2 lid box, I have the one-piece ballistic cover that is a major pain, thinking of maybe hinging the hatch with one long piano hinge??

Marc, this is the weather strip I used, its the same as the stuff they sell at west for a fraction of the price, and it is marine rated  http://www.lowes.com/pd_297208-81-43155 ... 26page%3D3

this is from the mfg website,it is the"all profile"  http://www.mdteam.com/products.php?category=1665

I lightly sanded the edge and wiped it down with mineral spirits to clean it.Nice thing about this product it is inexpensive enough to replace when needed. :salut:

Doc, you are an inspiration to all of us.  Well done, sir!
My status report looks like this:

4-drawer tackle center- DONE
New switch panel - DONE
Replace gas struts that hold up my flip-up seat: 1/2 done
Install freshwater tank & pump
New rub rail- almost bought it today, hoping I can find it cheaper.
Trailer axle work.
Replace fuel vent/overflow Thru-hull
Run her every chance I get - well, I plan on going diving tomorrow if I can find a 3rd diver and/or a captain to stay topside!  Any takers?
