Bring her on by, Scotty!  Now that Maggie's back in the saddle, I get to go out and play again!  The weather's been beautiful, was down across from Fernando's house this morn at the Tyson High and Dry, what a gorgeous morning on the water!!

Plenty of room next to the shop, bud...

BTW, the boat I worked on this morn had a beautiful 36 or so Rampage on the rack next to it, full tower.  Just to let you know some folks down here have class also... :thumright:

Pardon the interuption, guys.  Still catching up on many years of interesting information here.  Is this the same boat discussed in the "caveat emptor" thread in the classified forum?

Thanks and welcome.

To answer the question...sort of

The first boat from Marco Island we called "Miss Marco." Dropped from a lift onto solid concrete, heavily broken as you have seen in the "Caveat Emptor"  photos. Intentionally misrepresented.  She was a '74 22-2 with factory twins.

Arrived from Marco, and taken to builders here. They refused to touch her...too warped/twisted.

Miss Marco was then shipped to Tampa in 2010 in trade for a Sanchez Brothers T Top, livewell, other parts, etc.
She is currently running (twisting) on Tampa Bay and per reports is painted green. Beware if she comes up for sale.

"Miss Delmarva" was purchased in Maryland Sept. 2010 as Miss Marco's replacement. She is a November 1973 22-2 northern boat, straight hull, nice skin, good teeth.

The twin 2003 75 HP Mercs from Miss Marco are now on Miss Delmarva. They are low hours and clean, stainless Merc props.

Need to go and snap some recent pics, but am in retail, and Christmas is upon us :rendeer:

Thanks CLM, feel free to post with any questions, here or elsewhere.

Thanks for filling in the gaps, Scotty.  The boat is looking great!  Maybe I missed it, but did you ever get any compensation from the Marco Island seller?

And thanks for the tip on the green 22-2.  I'm kinda keeping my eyes open for a 22-2 project boat.  The last thing I need to do is get into something that is a complete money pit (at least more of a money pit than boating is in general  ).

Lastly, tough crowd around here!

Good luck with the boat and the holiday season!

Thanks guys!

Bill, thanks! I need to run by there and get some more pics. She is structurally finished, just waiting on the rigger.

Scott, I need to go by the drugstore and get some film. Truthfully, I'd like a new camera for Christmas, or a smartphone...

Craig, the only compensation I received was an article in the Marco Island Eagle exposing the old thief to his Country Club buddies. Also did some legal saber-rattling, which pretty much amounted to throwing good money after bad.

One thing you'll find when you hang around the clubhouse here...we all like to have fun with each other  We shoot the chit a lot, good-natured teasing, BS'ing, etc. Kinda breaks up the daily grind :thumright:

Heck, we even get together and party   :thumright:  :salut:

That is one thing I noticed and enjoy about this site.  It is all in good fun  :thumright:  :thumright:  :thumright: , unlike, well, some other sites....

Sorry to hear you didn't get more resolution regarding the Marco sale...but glad to see you have moved on and are well on your way to a beautifully restored 22-2!

Yes Craig, we certainly do like to have fun, a lot of it coming at Scott's expense!!  But he's a big boy, he can take it!

Kinda funny, sometimes CB or Rick will get on us for "de-railing" a thread, hell, on THT, I don't think there is a thread that DOESN'T get de-railed!!  And usually they end up with people calling other people a-holes, MFs, d-bags, all sorts of "good natured fun" words...

And keep in mind, we love nouns just as much as the next guy but feel these types tend to detour from that certain panache we have on this Forum. 8)

film?  what is this film you speak of Scotty?  I a saw big wooden camera type of contraption at the museum once...  It had a blanket you put over your head and used some kind of crude metal plates that the picture showed up on.  Then they had to take it to some place and dip it in all kinds of chemicals so they could see the photo...  is your camera made of wood like this one Scotty?  I also heard of these little huts.... they had them in parking lots...  you would take some kind of a canister out of your camera and drop it off there...  then after a few days you would go back and pay money to get your pictures...  sounds amazing to me...  is this why it takes so long for you to post pics Scotty?
