Yea Bob, lucky me; it's what I live for! No CR gearcase ever made for this engine. The swap option would be just to see if the noise follows the gearcase. The great thing about having twins is that you always have a donor engine available for this kind of chit. So we'll let this sleeping dog lay until I get back from the Southport jamboree starring Monte Rhodes and the AS Tabernacle choir where it is OK to drink during confession!

And a ready reference as to when your trying to put something back together saying, "Goddam it, where the hell did this thing go!"

You boys have fun, behave yourselves!

Well I finally got to see this thing and meet "Barefoot Chris". Rather than more pics I decided to shoot a video so you can see the quality of the finish, which as I suspected is absolutely amazing. I think the video really shows the detail Chris under Gran's supervision has accomplished. Yes he has chickens at the shop, I contemplated frying one up to christen her after getting attacked in the yard.

Again, just WOW!!!!

What kind of Nav light are you going with Scott?  Shark eyes? (Sorry if you mentioned it earlier in the 5 years of posts on this rebuild   )

BTW - looking sweet.

Rick, the nav lights are per each side of the T Top....old school. Not shown yet, going to the rigger next.

And yep...she's been a long time. Did you hear the chickens? They were only a glimmer in the rooster's eye when this all began.

Lew....thank you my friend

The gloss is nuts,  but the fairness.......??????....  WOW 8)  8) !!!!!

Scotty did you say you we're putting your batteries low and in front of the console? Is that what that access is for?  A chicken cooked that low might put a strain on your back!

Thanks guys!

He has some serious time in the prep and gel work....I'm really happy with his work.

Dave, the batts are going in the console. The storage area in the deck you're speaking of, he dried in. It will probably be used for PFD storage.

Speaking of chickens....there was a little bantam rooster there....he had the hots for Lewis

You all should move to Wilmington and experience efficiency at its finest.

The rigger said he wanted it Oct. 15th. Called him the 12th, said he was still jammed up rigging an Onslow Bay. But he said he'd call me. Never called. Called him two weeks back he said another Onslow Bay came in on a "rush", he was rigging that.

If I had a Chinook helicopter I'd fly it to Weeki Wachee in a heartbeat.

Boating season is toast here anyway.
