Well sorry I have not posted in a while again, The Non Skid has been done for a bit, Pictures are kind of dark but here is some more porn,
Will take better pictures as soon as I get the sides done, weather has been chilly here in Southwest Florida and some rain so have not worked on it much.

I used RickK's method of the Non Skid and it came out awsome and looks like factory Non Skid!!!

More to come soon!!!!!!!!!!! :bounce:

Nice!!!!       Makes me want to recoat my floor...  I noticed you got rid of the control tunnel plate?  Does seem like it would keep all the essentials dryer (or more dry?)

yeah got rid of that tunnel (debris collector) will keep everything dry as soon as I get the pipes sealed have to find some duct seal or maybe Foam. Anyone have any ideas? Under the console I am not worried just back by the Transom.

Hey I removed the Baitwells and may not put them back on. Just need to find out what I will do for a livewell. I need something for those Ladyfish for Tarpon season. So if I do get rid of them are you still interested?(have to convince the wife on a new livewell possibly /leaning post)
Ok let me know and I will have better pictures in a week or so.

Also did you see the pics of the livewells I posted about in the other post?

:thumright:   Nice!!  makes me want to redo my deck. that will be the next project, so I might have some questions
I have an 1980 196 Osprey, and have been using a 15 gal. bucket straped to the leaning seat for the livewell.

I haven't checked them out yet... kinda in the midst of a few little modifications to my boat (anchor locker, filling/smoothing/painting the hull, repainting the deck with nonskid paint, and possibly adding some planing chimes toward the rear of the hull with the guidance of my pops) and building the livewells was to follow...

I am definitely still interested in the livewells in any condition.  I'll take care of shipping, just PM me when/if you're ready to sell them, and thanks for keeping me in mind.  :salut:

Looks beautiful - and it wasn't hard at all was it.  Just have to take the plunge of that first area.  Should hold up a long time too.

I posted some of your pix in the original topic on non-skid for an example of the results.  That was the only thing that was missing for that topic.  Thanks.

You dont plan on sealing the transom side of your accesory cables I was thinking about enclosing my tunnel aswell and was thinking about take a flex line from an action marine to run them to the motor but on an action the cables go stright to the motor and dont have to make a 90 degree turn but under your console what if you just left it high off the deck like it is now? Or leave a small lip like an inch or so and use a fernco to seal it go to your local home depot in the plumbing section

Hey flkeysaqua I have sealed the end's of the tubes for the cables at the Transom. I used some expandable foam in there to keep the water out. I did not seal under the console though. Reason being to allow it to dry out and let some air in there. Eventually I may seal them up under the console.

I think doing away withe the "tunnel" is a good idea. For me it was just a debris collector, Everything that was on the deck would just go in there and get stuck. I am glad I did away with it. The hardest part was getting the right size pipes and getting them bent just right to 1 fit in there correctly and 2 so that the cables and hoses would pull through ok. Once the deck was done I did leave the ones under the console about 3 inches high except the fule line one, I re-heated it back up and bent it down so the line flowed more smoothly into it after coming up from the tank.

The Throttle and shift cables are the worst at the back of the boat because of how the enter the engine like you said. I did have to buy a new shift cable because the pipe run made it longer than what the tunnel was but that was only like $30 bucks so that was ok.

cool i just figured if you use something removable like a fernco under your console if you had to pull something knew or replace something it might make your job that much easier

Yeah probably right. I may end up using that under the console. The Foam is fairly easy to get through, I didnt put a whole lot in it just enough to seal it a bit. So I will see how it holds up there.
