OK since the Big Boat at Seaforce IX is coming out this week to get put in the water at port manatee, my boat took a semi back seat which is completely understandable.  Bob and his crew worked wonders to get me ready enough to take down to Abel's Marine so they can hang the New Porta Bracket and Honda!  I had to have it down there today at the latest so they can rig before the special runs out.  Katrina and Tony at Abel's Marine have worked very well with me and reasonable in pricing.  They look like they do quality work so keep your fingers crossed!  Dropped her off today and they will be rigging soon.

After Honda is hung and we test drive, I will return her to Seaforce IX for final painting (From rubrail inside is going to be Oyster White like T-Top and bottom of boat will be Flag Blue like the hull), rubrail, livewell and accessory rigging.  Wonderful Xmas gift from my family

Alex, the boat looks great!  Bet you can't wait for the Maiden Voyage. Question, with the livewell on the transom and a 4-stroke hung in the back, did you ever consider a flotation bracket as opposed to a port-a-bracket?

Not really, with the @ 500 lbs at least removed from the old floor and transom, moving gas tank forward, and moving batteries to console and console forward a bit I think I will be ok.  All these guys do it with the regular 222, so hopefully I'll be fine!

Some pics from Abels Marine.  Tony is doing a great job keeping me in the loop and installing.

Happy New year :)

Alex,
Nice install of the Porta-bracket.  Some may say that backing plates spanning the width of the mounting bolts all the way across would be the way to go, but given a newly rebuilt transom, the smaller aluminum plates will do just fine.

Hondas are sweet motors, and just about will run forever.  A suggestion on the hyd steering lines.  Use Teleflex's bulkhead mount hoses, makes for a VERY clean install, I'd run them through the transom just inboard of the rigging tube, side by side...

Looks good. What kind of speed do you think you will get with your 150?
