Integrity is a distributor for Barbour Plastics. that sells retail as well. Iit is preferable to get continuous lengths of semi-rigid rail in rolls to eliminate seams in the rubrail. For example, a 22.2 with enclosed transom will require a 60 ft kit. The SS insert comes in 16 ft lengths.  The continuous length simplifies installation and typically looks much better as the butt joints do not curve upwards over time with sun exposure. Barbour does not sell retail, but if any of y'all need, I stock 50, 70, and 88 ft Barbour kits for my OEM customers. I will likely be adding the Barbour Radial PVC rail without fasteners by March. It is pretty easy to install and looks very clean. http://barbourplastics.com/rub-rail-pvc/ Oh yeah, it is way cheaper than the stainless insert rail also. Yellowfin just converted to this product for their skiffs and bay boats. If a couple more customers decide to try this product, I will stock this item soon.

If you need, I will sell any of the Barbour rubrail that I stock for what I charge my OEM boatbuilders. Hopefully, it can save you some money, particularly on shipping of the stainless insert.

Scotty,

I think you have the 1 5/8" semi-rigid rail with the 3/4" hollow back stainless insert. Barbour's part 2276. Barbour extrudes this pattern at 70' continuous lengths for Chapparal which is when I order. I piggyback on Chapparal orders in order to get substantially better pricing on the coils of semi-rigid vinyl extrusions.

That's awesome, Eugene!  When I get to that point, I'll be giving you a call.  Glad to see you posting here again too!

Craig,

I haven't posted much lately as I've been swamped for the last few months between work and visiting family. The holidays were crazy with over a dozen family members coming to town from Christmas eve through the New Year. It was a bonafide asian invasion in Tampa Bay. We did get in some good fishing though. We had to run 2 boats nightly to fish dock lights because evidently folks in my family from the frigid north have a God given right to fish nightly despite the space limitations of a small flats skiff. We only had one collision between the boat driven by my dad and a bridge piling while I was throwing the cast net and one hooked family member so I guess overall, it was a success. Actually, no. Since it was yours truly with my kid brother's Clouser fly stuck in my ear, I take it all back. Fishing sucked. A wise old man once told me that visiting family are a lot like fresh fish. After 2 days they both start to stink and you need to get rid of them.

Sounds like a, um, fun family event Eugene!  I guess the old saying isn't necessarily true, a bad day fishing is better than a good day at work!  Let me know if you need a recommendation for a good fiberglass repair guy.  I know of one, and he happens to be in your area!

Thanks Eugene for the input, and yes, that is the product we used. It came in a light buff color that was almost a perfect match to the off-white gel. Went with the hollow-back concave stainless insert, it was a lot less money than the solid.

What a nice gesture, your offer to the members. The shipping cost on the long inserts was pretty substantial, that will save them some good money.

Aaron, you'll enjoy the product, installs beautifully.

I'm curious Scott...how has that insert held up?
I rely heavily on my rub rail to mitigated my lack of maneuvering skills. I need to replace mine and it is on the list. While it does look "bling city", I'm thinking it would look "antiqued" after a few of my dockings.

Thanks.

That rail looks nice...What Im looking for is a rail that looks more true than the current standard black rail...does this rail go on and stay looking as though its not wavy? Can u get it in an off white? My hull is light blue and my cap will be off white....Im thinking offwhite rail unless better idea pops up....
