Lotto Winners!!
« on: March 31, 2012, 11:19:40 AM »
Fellas, three winners split six hundred and forty million dollars last night.....Ooooooo  Baaaaaabie!!!

Now that's A LOT of Aquasports

Chit, I'd buy a megayacht and put Miss Delmarva on the top as a tender, right next to the helo pad

Then I'd buy a jet and in the middle of October fly it all over the country and bring you all to the reunion

So...what would you do?

Here's a guide

Drink Heinekin instead of Natty Light and buy a new 3/4 ton GMC Duramax/Allison 4 by 4, just to yank some boats around...

Other than that?  Not much...oh, and an '86 Porsche 911 Turbo.  If it needs work, I can do that. The Maxima and Jetta stay... :thumleft:

I bought two tickets and did not get a single number. Shows you how high the odds of winning really are. You have a much better chance of getting hit by lightning than winning a lottery.

If I had won that lotto (not available in FL) I would have changed my name to something...a regular name like.... like Scott Rhodes or the like and then would quit my job, the lotto changes your phone # so wouldn't have to do that and I think I would have a lot of thinking to do. Definitely getting some professional financial advise (the advisor could win the lottery just talking to you if you're not careful....). Definitely need to be smart about this though.
Of course I would set up my kids and grandkids to be taken care of in some kind of trust so they had to earn some portion of it or had to be so old, like maybe 55.... :D .
Anyway, toys are a given - don't know about a mega yacht, i would think that would get old.  Maybe a 70ft trawler and then cruise the places I want to, myself.  Would be tough to part with my 170 - the 230 would be replaced by the trawler.

It's definitely hard to imagine not having to "earn" a cent and have every material thing you could possibly want.  You would definitely be everyone's "best friend" though.

I think all the big lines they showed on TV must have been at state borders.  I was in Richmond, VA and bought at two different places.  No lines.  Hell, I have to drive to FL to buy any kind of ticket.  Not allowed here in the Bible Belt.  Not a big deal because I do most of my flying out of Pensacola and I buy my FL and Powerball tickets with 52 advance draws.  For Mega Millions it's 135 miles to Slidell, LA.  Mega Millions only allows 20 advance draws.  Mississippi has casinos but no lottery.

Man oh man...can you guys IMAGINE the feeling waking up this morning, knowing that you will never have to work another day in your life?

And besides that...that you and your family and loved ones would be right there with you?

Wow...God Bless those folks. They are regular people, just like us.

They have gone from anonymous worker folk to rock stars...overnight.

The most difficult thing will be protecting their new-found wealth, and fame. And that, despite all of their attempts....will be impossible.

But I'd trade places in a skinny minute
