Really like the 19-6. Just wondered what the draft and what the difference there is on the 20' models you see everywhere on craiglist and other websites.  I assume they are the same boat.  Explain Flatback models to me too please sir. Thanks for all your help!!!

flat back refers to the hull deadrise at the transom....

one thing i can tell you about draft,  my buddy has a 20 ft angler "bay boat", he needs at least 14 inches to float in, and depending on my load, i can float in 10 inches easily, and thats with a heavy v-6 on the transom... when i had the lighter v-4, 8 inches of water was all i needed...

most "bay boats" now a days need at least 12 inches or more to float in. and most deep-v boats require more water...

I have a '76 19-6 that I am restoring, and I'm deeply in love with it! For it's size it has plenty of room/storage. I have not put it in the water yet since I'm finishing the transom rebuild this weekend, but through my research I have found that it SHOULD draft 8"-10".

Welcome aboard! You won't find a friendlier or more helpful group of guys anywhere.

As far as your question about which make.... Makos are a dime a dozen. You don't see many AS in my neck of the woods and I like having a different boar from most other people.  Also, I think their dead seksy!  lol
