Tampa bay grouper fishing
« on: August 22, 2011, 10:00:52 PM »
Haven't posted in a while, but was wondering how the west central Florida crew has been doing with the grouper.  Last week I went out to 80 ft of water and hit our bag limit before noon with seven people on board my trusty 250 ccp.  Went out to the same area yesterday and hit our bag limit by 1:30pm...again with seven people on board.

I have fished this same hole for three years and have never hit my bag limit two weeks in a row.  Anyone else having similar luck or am I just one lucky SOB.

What kind of grouper are you catching?

All reds.  I have only caught one gag and that was while trolling a spoon on a #3 planer
