This is where I'm at with the boat... three layers of mat, tabbed in to the old floor. I didn't truly understand the gelcoat / expoxy discussion, but I have always applied gelcoat directly to hardened glass after using polyester resin... Never had an issue.

I will be working on that Cab-o-sil + gelcoat floor in the next two weeks. I'll let you know how it goes!

looks good @billy626... did you glass right over the older gelcoat edge or did you sand it down to the fiberglass?

@rhtrades Somewhere in between. I had to sand off all the nonskid, so it was sanded down quite a bit, but not all the way to the fiberglass. Didn't even think of that to be honest. Maybe would have been a good idea
