Paint Color Progression
« on: August 01, 2023, 07:33:52 PM »
Day 1 Fairing:  Yeah, Tuxedo Black, that will be sharp.
Day 1 Sanding:  Hmmm, maybe a dark blue....
Day 3 Sanding: White, with a blue boot stripe
Day 7 Sanding: I wonder how much it would cost to just Rhino Line the whole thing....

Haha, its not that bad, I've got probably 6-8 hours in sanding so far and its starting to shape up nicely I think.  But if there was ever a job worth farming out...  And no, I was never considering Tuxedo Black...

what material are you using for fairing? Are you just filling in minor imperfections or trying to hide the fiberglass print through showing up i the gelcoat?

I'm using totalfair. And I ripped out my liner. So I'm fairing the inside of the hull.
