1976 17'0"
« on: July 13, 2021, 10:50:42 AM »
Hey Guys,

Unfortunately I'm looking to sell my 1976 17'0" Osprey. Im located in Tampa Bay and open to answering any/all questions at 404-625- 510seven. I'll work on adding pictures to the add or could easily send via text. Also, here is the ad on Craigslist [https://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/boa/d/largo-1976-aquasport-170-osprey/7350353664.html]

The boat was completely restored by the previous owner, included everything: fuel tank, center console, electrical wiring, plumbing, pumps, gauges, stereo, marine radio, custom lean-post live-well, Yamaha 115, swim ladder, Birdsail rod-holders, bimini top, etc.

I did additional work in May of 2020.
•   All the hatches re-cored and fiberglassed;
•   The rigging tray from the console to transom (original design) was removed and a 2” rigging tube installed
•   Entire starboard side of the boat re-cored and fiberglassed
•   The entire deck was sprayed with Alwgrip non-skid
•   9x12 electronic Lenco trim tabs installed
•   New fuel lines and throttle cables
•   New PowerTech SDC3 17 prop

The original owner stored the boat in an air conditioned detached garage. I currently store it completely covered in my garage. The boat is flushed, washed, and dried (hull, boat, and bulkheads) after each use. Also, only non-ethanol fuel has ever been used. Boat is in great condition and everything works perfectly.

Asking $17,500; make an offer. In no rush to sell and will continue to use the boat.

Motor:
•   2003 Yamaha 115 four stroke
o   390 hours
o   Professionally maintained annually

•   Minnkota 60” shaft 80# Terrova trolling motor (new in October 2017)
o   Quick release bracket
o   Spot lock/anchor, autopilot, tracking, etc. capability
Trailer:
•   Tandem axle Performance Trailer – overkill for a 17’ boat, but great piece of mind.
o   New wiring and lights installed in May 2020
o   Hubs, springs, bunk supports, bunks replaced November 2019
Boat:
•   35 gallon custom lean-post live-well
•   27 gallon fuel tank
•   4 batteries installed in battery trays under the center console
o   2 deep cycle for trolling motor (new in Nov 2019)
o   1 cranking and 1 house (new in May 2018)
o   2 dual bank onboard chargers; 1 for TM batteries and 1 for cranking/accessory batteries
•   1 float bilge pump installed in bulkhead
•   1 manual bilge pump installed inside transom
•   Stainless steel steering wheel with knob.
•   Custom Bimini top and sun pad for casting platform (not included in pictures)

Electronics:
•   Simrad GO7 XSE with TotalScan transducer (new in May 2018)
•   Marine Head unit
•   2 6.5” Fusion Speakers
•   Marine Radio

Good looking rig...I'm sure the right buyer will swoop it up sooner than later.  Btw....I see you have a thru-hull bait well pickup.  Curious...where is the thru-hull outflow directed?

Thanks, Jason. I may be just as happy if it doesn't sell - love this boat. Growing family, just looking for something a little bigger - maybe a 19'6.
If looking at the picture of the bulkhead, the outflow is the black tube on the right hand side. Pickup is through a clam-shell on the bottom of the hull and the outflow is in the transom.

Nice!...so the thru-hull outflow is below the waterline with a one-way valve??

Yes, that’s correct… the livewell drains out a standpipe to an outflow in the transom below the waterline. There is a manual open/close value for the outflow in the bulkhead.
