I have aluminum windshield frames on my Sandpiper 22-2....I would like to replace them with fiberglass frames and paint them to match. Anyone every had this done or done this themselves?

I can't recall ever seeing this done on this site.

Granted, I've never seen fiberglass frames on this type of windshield ("open frame") application.  :?:

Might be easier to get the existing powder coated

I think your going to have a very hard time finding windows with frame that will fit your hull.  You much better of taking off your existing windows and carefully take them apart.  Look for the manufactures name stamped on the glass...  contact them to see if you can get replacement seals.  Then as already mentioned have them media blasted and then powder coated to match the hull.

Agree with Rick - Or find some new ones at a marine surplus place.   :tu4:

Hi Aaron, spend a couple minute in this topic to learn how to post pix here - it's real simple.  You don't want to attach the pix, it better for the viewers if you post them per the short instructions.
The window frames definitely look custom.
