Speaking of swimming in cold water, I jumped into a deep drop off at siesta beach when the water was in the mid 60's.

If you guys want I can call around.  There's really not many ramps to choose from.  Are you looking for a place to put in and leave your rigs for 2-3 days?  I don't think anyone has "security", but Pete's Pier has some live aboards next to the ramp, so it is probably the closest to secure as you will find.  Of course, if you are staying at the Plantation Inn (as someone mentioned in an earlier thread), you should be fine - they probably have security also.

If some want to take a run to the gulf they can, if others want to dive they can, etc.
At Pete's it's free launch and $10/day to store truck and trailer - secure.  Hard to beat that.
If you just want to hang it won't cost much boat gas. 7 miles to the gulf - shouldn't burn much there and back either.

Best we can do in that area.

Yup.  Dave is trying to find another wet suit, seems his old ones shrunk    So, both of our boats will be ready to dive.

I'm just gonna go without a wetsuit, the cold water only stings for like 5 seconds.

Very cool Josh.  I wonder what those washed out areas are - the springs?  If they are, looks more like a drain instead of a supply  Didn't see any gators  8)  
I'll bring my underwater camera up there too. I'm only bringing one tank so it'll be used only if I can't snorkel deep enough.

I don't know much about underwater springs so it will definitely be interesting, how deep do you plan to dive?
