Just my 2 cents but I think this whole thing should be farther south around Tampa for a better turnout, who are we really going to get to come from farther North
Yeah it's going to be a little haul for us but this spot should be cool - no pun intended.  :P   It'll probably be the farthest north I haul the 230 but it is an equal distance from the north side of FL and Sarasota and some of the East coast spots too. I don't know about you but I've never been, Dave has never been either. I've alway wanted to see it, play in it, dive it, relax over it.
All we can do is hope, as usual.  I think this spot will help bring the members out.  We shouldn't need much boat gas either - a trade off for the truck gas.

I have never been there, it does sound very nice, for some reason most of my boating trips are south, I'm a Keys guy at heart

I'm still going to have a wait and see approach, thats going to be at min $150 trip just to tow up and back for me and I have alot of expenses coming up in May so we will see.

That's another place I would like to go with my boat - been there but not in my boat.

Up north on the Ichnatucknee (probably butchered that) river, I think a little more north - dumps into the Suwannee, we went tubing and it was chilly - got a red chest and a blue bottom at the same time.  Water was crystal clear and almost spooky, like you were in the area of the "Creature of the Black Lagoon".  I'm hoping that the water at CR is clear.
These gatherings are another way to see America  :D

Can a newbie come to these gatherings?  :)  I'm not to far from there, Largo/Palm Harbor area. Sounds like fun, can I bring my girlfriend? she is a boat fanatic and loves fishin. When she has 2 beers she starts dancing and singing "Dr Hook" songs (she knows them all) after 4, clothing starts going away   Love the Crystal River area, just haven't had my boat up there yet. Wonder if you can camp on the islands up there like we do here at St Joesph Sound.

The water gets cold after being in it for a while so a wet suit is not a bad idea.  Scuba gear is fun in the springs.   Of course newbies are welcome Pzart! we all started that way!  I'll bring a six pack for your girl!

Karaoke and nudity.

I don't recall that as a selling point for these boondoggles before.

Maybe moving north isn't that bad an idea after all?
