Aquasport 215 explorer questions?????

Hi
has anyone put a bow pulpit on this boat?  And do you have any pics??
And also I'm lookin to install a stereo. where would the factory have installed it? And any ideas and pictures would be great.  Thanks

On my 98' 215 Exp, I mounted a DIN chassis size headunit thru the port aft bulkhead in the cabin, easy to run the power,antenna, and speaker leads from that central point.  I bought this headunit for several reasons:

>Already have one in my truck, excellent unit for the money with 2 Aux inputs(1 for XM receiver,1 for VHF output or IPOD) and a wireless remote, so now I have 2 remotes for the boat (who the hell needs a wireless remote for a car???)
>HD radio has great alternative programming(at least in SoFla) and the country station even broadcasts NOAA weather 24/7 on its HD3 channel.
>No, its not a "marine" radio, but its in the cabin. Give me 2 years out of it and I'll buy another closeout cheapie, but I know from experience that you don't need an overpriced "marine" headunit if its snug n dry in a cabin.

For speakers, I bought these JBL's which flushmount inside the bridge wing panels

Excellent fit,construction and sound quality.

You will need to use Fatmat inside the plastic panels to eliminate the panel's resonating buzz on mid-deep bass notes

Port side of the cabin below the fire extinquser mount.  Feel around on the carpet and you should fine the factory cut out for the radio.  Also, all of the speaker wires are proably there I think there are 4 sets. I installed 2 speakers behind the seats. Unscrew the dash cutout and look aft you'll see the wiring. Just cut put where you want the speakers. Never did put the others in.

Sorry it took so long. I live in a house full of women. When I asked where the usb cable was I got a bunch of dumb looks.....
This is the Stereo, Port side of the cabin. The mounting hole was precut at the factory and wired. Becasue the boat did not come with a radio they just carpeted over.

This one is the speaker mount. One on each side behind the seats. These were also pre-wired at the factory. The little fella at the helm would be my oldest grandson. He's practicing for the day he has to take pop-pop fishing.
