Bow Mounted Trolling motor on 22-2?
«

Is it possible to use a bow mounted trolling motor on a 22-2 Flatback, 22-2 Semi-v or 24ft Pro-line Flat back?
Is the bow rise too high?
Has anyone had any expierenced with this application?
Thanks
Albert.

In my opinion it is a waste of time to try to bow mount a trolling motor on a 22-2 I have a flatback and tried the bowmount 24 volt trolling motor with the longest shaft min-kota make and if you are fishing in any kind of chop the motor wants to come out of the water. On the other hand if it is calm out they work great. Just my 2 cents

Anyone hear about a cavitation plate for a trolling motor? Another option is to custom order a 70 inch shaft trolling motor. I'm gonna need a bow mount trolling motor for my flatback soon and am looking at all the options. My guide buddy has a 23 dorado (22-2 copy) with a bow mount 60inch shaft that works pretty well. Is that boats bow lower than by flatback bow?
