Agreed!Makes the ride more comfortable,and I have tried the cushioned mats and I'm always afraid they will blow out of the boat.

Pete, the commercial one described above was pretty darn thick/heavy. It was great to stand on at the helm. I used velcro to keep it from sliding....although that scrim stuff you put under rugs may work better.
