Really - that blows.  Actually I had the same problem a few years ago - was dropped for no reason 'cept that they didn't want to carry me anymore 'cause I lived in FL.  Took a while to find an insurer.  You might have experienced that here too.

The majors like State Farm are not allowed to write new policies per corporate.  If one office has a customer that lapses, then they can write one new customer.  The agents are recommending this one independent agent but I have a feeling I am about to get screwed without even getting kissed...

We just got insurance through AAA - give them a try if you're a member.  They saved me money too.  Worth the $50/year.
