I think that cable will work, mine measures out to 16' 8" from helm nut to steer tube nut give or take a few inches, worth trying at least.  Does your cable have the quick release pin at the helm or a nut?  Either way, get in touch with me if you're still interested in selling, I've sent you a pm.

I paid three times that price for the one I have.  I was young and stupid appearently.    Looks like a good time to buy a new one.  I guess I can take $150 + shipping.  That stings but I guess its a sign of the economy.
