Hello again everyone. It's been awhile, but between illness, bad weather and work. I finally reached a point where I am ready to put the finishing touches on my transom rebuild.... Aquasport 19-6... This has been a real education on boat restoration. I've done a lot of old cars, but this is my first boat attempt. I have learned the hard way about what works and doesnt work. Sometimes in talking to suppliers and visiting manufacturers websites, I get information overload. I don't want to use automotive bondo...(though I've been told I can if I seal it well)...Any suggestions on a good glazing compound or bondo-like material that can been used to fill and smooth over scratches, pinholes, small blemishes or uneven surfaces...slightly high-low areas that are left after sanding. I am looking for something with good adhesion and waterproof.....thanks for any help. Allan in Poquoson.
