I am considering painting my 250 CCP.  Does anyone have any ideas on how to remove all the graphics from the hull?  They are dried out and chipping anyway.

While your wife is elsewhere, gently apply heat from her hair dryer/blower.  Heat up a section and start peeling.  Adhesive may stay on the gelcoat which can be removed with acetone.

The one good thing I found out about "Peel-Away" stripper is that it does a wonderful job on removing vinyl decals even if it was marginal on paint.  Only has to be on for a few minutes and the decal bubbles right up.

I'll have to remember that about the peel-away when I replace the graphics on the 230.  I think I still have some it left.

Before using chemicals, try a razor blade scraper.  Old vinyl is usually hardened and often comes off pretty easily with a scraper.  Keep the angle close to the hull and take your time.  You can use chemicals, cleaners, or even some waxes to remove the residue.
