You uploaded them to your gallery - I think on the huge pics uploading 3 or 4 at a time is the limit because it resizes them all down to the right size.  I have good luck with 4 at a time.
Once they are up in the gallery follow the instructions here to post them into your post - getting them to the gallery was the hard part.

Now my question is why did they run the gas line and the electrical for the sending unit above the deck floor. I believe I have read that the spray foam is sealed and is a pain to run the original route, am I correct on this and what is the fix I don't want this above the deck. Also thank you for all the help navigating through this site it is very helpful.

MB I see the same as you do on those 3 links - first two the member deleted his gallery, so no pics left.
The 3rd everything looks fine.  I see all the pics in the bunch of links CB posted first.
I don't know which threads you are seeing Xs in.  One thing you might want to do is reset your browser back to factory to clear out everything. Google how to do it.

Self Bailing is just what Capt Bob explained.  My '71 170 was just that, the top was sealed from the bilge and there were 2 1" scuppers in the well right below the engine.
As motors got bigger  :62: starting in the 70s and the clamp standard changed the boats were weighed down in the aft putting the scuppers under water - no more self bailing.
The garboard is the plug at the bottom of the "v" in the aft, to drain the bilge.

As for the seats, I think if you want the exact same type of seats you may have to make them yourself unless you stumble onto some at a surplus place from a different brand boat.  Making them would not be hard and there are a couple examples of people making their own here.

What type of material would you use to make the boxes for the seats I would like a fiberglass material with some type of storage area as well with maybe some slide out drawers. Any suggestions or ideas?

Someone here recently built some boxes out of foam board covered in glass.  Once you have the frame you can do whatever you want with them.  I think theirs were storage/coolers/ maybe baitwells?

OK,
First, it appears that the sender and fuel line were replaced by the PO and ran that way because it was the easiest route so.....

I would suggest removing the tank hatch cover. This can be the proverbial "can of worms" but it also gives you valuable insight as to the condition of your tank and surrounding components including the hatch itself. Maybe(?) the tank itself was replaced or probably not and you need to know its current condition before moving forward. If the tank should appear OK  :ScrChin: you can get a better idea of routing the wire and feed line with the hatch removed.

Ok so here is the picture of the tank, the tank is in good shape, the hole for the original fuel line is at the top left corner of the picture has anyone replaced there fuel line back through that hole or is the spray foam impenetrable to get back through there hence the re routing of the fuel line to the back.

Here's a good thread to read for several reasons.

One, it appears to have been set up originally just like yours (ya think?).

Second, no foam was found so you may find the same thing if you try and snake a tape through the original opening.

Third, look close at the photos showing the outline of the tie down straps. Note the corrosion that forms from moisture under the straps between the foam tape/rubber and the tank surface itself. This is typical of the tanks we've seen over the years on this Forum. It looks (based on the handwriting on the tank strap) that your tank may have been replaced so....

Just be aware of the possibility of corrosion occurring in areas not visible (underneath the straps, especially on the bottom of the tank) when the tank is in place.

Considering these things, I would first try and snake a fish tape through the original fuel line hole and see if it comes out in the rear corner.

Next, since you have the hatch pulled, I'd lift the tank up and take a look as to how it was mounted. Depending on what you find, you may wish to consider re-mounting using the method shown in the supplied link. You can also replace the fill and vent if needed.

I assume the tank is original because it says 79 as the year on the name plate and the boat is a 79, I removed the tank and drained about 20 gallons of fuel from the tank. The bottom side just had some foam in the same place as the top and the aluminum straps are bolted to the side of the coffin. I will get the tank cleaned up and post some more pics. Thanks for all your help the pics are great.

I agree.
FMT made many of the Hialeah hull tanks. My 84 CCP had one.

The foam is notorious for trapping water that causes the pitting corrosion that leads to fuel leakage. Now is the time to replace that old tank (if needed) and put that to rest. We have many documented replacements and Dan's is a great example of one.

With the narrow gunnels on these boats what have you guys seen or used to attach downriggers. I only have about 3 inches to work with and the swivel bases I have are closer to 4.5 inches in order to mount them.
