1977 Aquasport 22-2 INBOARD: Can I remove spark plug wires one at a time at the distributor to locate a bad plug? I can't reach most of the plug wire s at the Chevy 350 V8 engine. Thanks so much!

I removed the foam plug.
It came out fairly easy. Taking into consideration that the top 6 inches or so curve the flat foam did not want to pass through the curve without having to break it up. In hindsight I would have glued the plastic sheeting to the foam and I would have wrapped string around it vertically as pull points to aid removal. I took a shop vac with a narrow hose and throughly vacuumed the void. It rained all day so humidity is high so I am going to wait until tomorrow to pour Seacast.

I modified a paint tray to assist in the Seacast pour. Time is not your friend. The faster I can get this stuff poured and tamped down the better. You can only do 10 gallons (2 buckets) at a time every 24 hours so this is a 2 day pour.

Thank you gentlemen for the kind words and encouragement. Dropped the console off to get wired for trolling motor and house batteries (cut off switches, breakers, bus bars etc.) I am at best okay at electrical so opted for some help.

Taking some core samples all the way down to the bottom would be what I would recommend. I have yet to see one of these older hulls that don't have delamination in the forward section. Not sure if it was either the quality of the materials, proper prep of the hull before the stringers were tabbed, lack of the number of layers of tabbing or all of the above, but they seem to have issues more regularly than not. Even if you just took out a few sections to check forward and aft. I wouldn't personally put a deck down when you have an opportunity to check it. You could always fill the areas that you remove if all is well.

looking good...definitely a good idea to gel coat the anchor locker..added layer of protection as its pretty much constantly wet in there

To me it looks like a good p-washing would make her look much better.  As far as the stringers, they can't rot, they're fiberglass.

Seems like a milestone. Put casting deck down with 5200. Cut out spots for fuel fill and vent 9n starboard and trolling motor power on port.

Gel coated anchor locker even though no one will ever see it. Why?
