Far67,
The seals are what Teleflex calls "End Glands".  I've replaced quite a few in the last few years, the cheapest I've found has been $94 including the spanner wrench.  And as far as I know, you have to buy the end caps as well as the seals...

You have to hope you just need the seals on the End Glands.I replaced mine and the steering didn't work right. There's also seals in the hydraulic cylinder itself. They are like check valves. If you go on the Teleflex site and look up the number on your cylinder it will give you an exploded view of the hydraulic pump.I had to buy a new cylinder.

Mark,
If the steering works fine, but you notice some hyd fluid in the splashwell, then all you'll need is the end gland seal kit.  If there are other issues such as jerkiness, dead spots, harder to port than starboard, etc., that bleeding hasn't taken care of, there may indeed be a problem futher into the cylinder...or helm pump, for that matter...

Steering works fine, just leaks alittle out of the end caps. It leaks a very small amount about a table spoon or two a month but I keep the boat in the water and when it rains it gets washed into the bilge where the bilge pump pumps it out into the canal. NOT GOOD!

Thank you for the advise, I ended up going to my local hydralic shop they measured the end glands and were able to supply me with all the seals for 27.00
