Center stringers took about 24 cubic feet, around $300 for 4lb. that’s with raising the deck, which is maybe 15% extra volume above just filling the factory stringer forms.

Thanks, I was checking with a few suppliers where I could get the best price. I think it might be worth it to tent and bake it for awhile before the pour., get the temp up for maximum expansion.

Definitely worth it. Also, Best if you can store the materials at temperature for a day or so before use. Polyurethane is an excellent insulator. I made the mistake of storing it in my shop at 60F. I got
Shop up to 80 no problem. The product takes forever to get heat into. So while my shop was at 80, I was pouring material at maybe 65.

After measurements, I realized the tank I was looking at won't fit.  I think i'm going to have to follow your lead and cut the bulkhead out.  Even a custom tank in the existing space only gives me a max of 30 gals and thats without leaving any room for fittings.....  What tank did you end up going with?

Any poly tank will grow 1-2% in all directions when it is filled with gasoline - so you must plan for that also.

You might be able to use the moeller 35 without raising the Floor if you are willing to modify the factory stringers.

Well, sorry for the radio silence guys. A lot has been going on sine I last posted. I bought a house, bought two more boats, got married, changed jobs, and had a baby. I'm exhausted just writing all of that.

Despite all of that, I have made a ton of progress on the boat. Photo dump incoming.

Flipped and painted. Used petit black widow bottom paint I had from another boat and Rustoleum marine topside paint. Trying to conserve funds where I can, boat money is rapidly becoming daycare money. I'm relatively pleased with the paint. I thinned it generously with Xylene and sprayed with an HVLP using a 2.2mm tip. Relatively little orange peel. Doesn't self level quite as well as more expensive paints, but it will give a satisfactory gloss once its cut and buffed. Can't beat the price at $16 a quart, it seems pretty darn hard/tough and touch-up will be super easy.



Flipped and back on the trailer. I will tape and paint the waterline after I've splashed her at her rigged weight.

 I wound up selling the Merc 115 I was going to run on this as I really wanted a yamaha, and made a decent profit flipping it.

And I did get a yamaha! It's a 2000 70hp two stroke. Less power than I was originally planning for, but my plans for the boat changed and the deal was to good to pass up. The motor is super low hours, clean enough to eat off, and had the carbs gone through and a new water pump installed right before I bought it. I'm hoping to get 27kts WOT.  I've rigged in one a 12" setback manual jack plate. Considering adding a shaw wing or similar cavitation plate so I can run the motor super high. Right now it's rigged with the cav plate ~3.5 inches above the keel. Need to get a prop, will likely go with the standard 13.5x17.
