I think it is about the coastal life. A means of portraying something different or a lifestyle demographic. Which happened to be very cleverly marketed. Just like emoticons, yellow wrist bands, pink wrist bands, bad fish, etc. I see the salt life decals everywhere. I don't know what they cost but somebody made a fortune on it. Good for them! The great thing about it is it's non offense, relaxing to me and seems to be completely neutral. Just a saying... What better way to make money. Much more desirable than a pair of rubber bull balls hanging on a trailer hitch. Glad that's passed!
