Yes, many years of fishing out of smaller boats I know exactly what I want to maximize all the space of the 22.

I would not put any batteries close to the tank and if they went below deck it would be way forward for tm batteries and be boxed in for security.

I am using the stock console but doing mods to try and make toe kicks and rod storage so it does not take added space in the walkways, and add more of a face for electronics and such. I have already cut the well out of the front and plan to put batteries and switch there for easy access.

Thanks for the replies and input.

Weight distribution is a pain to try and plan for so we may get it wet a few times before bolting everything down. I can't even cut the scuppers until I see how she sits.

Put a thru-pipe in the stringer for wires and plumbing, and filled the rest of the stringer with foam.

Also pulled some plugs and cut into the floor and found a good bit of wet wood. Just seems to be around the console, the rear portion is dry. May just cut out the rot and repair, but then again why not replace it all, will just be more time and expense.

Going to go with a bit smaller tank, should have good enough range with 60 gal with engines these days. Plus it will open more room in the rear for a hatch.

Interesting,
Looks like the stringers were notched to allow for the fuel fill from either side. Not sure why early models filled from the starboard side and the typical vehicle fill was on the driver side creating a PITA to fill the tow vehicle and the boat. Now's your chance to remedy that situation if it wasn't already that way.
