Bob were do you get your supplies from? I just striped out all of the old wiring from the boat I doing for the grandbabies. So I have to start planning the rewire. Some things I can get locally some I can’t. I do buy locally if I can because there are no taxes here. But like I said. Some thing I just can’t buy here.

Walt,
Sorry for the late reply.  I get all my terminals, bus bars, and fuse blocks from genuinedealz.  They factor the shipping cost into all their prices so what you see cost wise is what you pay.  I get all my wire from Greg's Marine wire.  Used to get from GD as well, but Greg's has really held their prices down.  They charge shipping, but it's not that much.

And they both ship USPS priority, so you get the stuff quick!

Thanks Bob. They will be getting orders from me. I can get wire here but only small spools, which most of the time will only do one or two runs. None of the wiring in this boat is any good and even if it looks ok. it won't be ok because my granbabies are going to be in this boat and I won't take a chance. So I’ll need larger spools like you are showing. I'll tell them you recamended them. Thanks again. :thumleft:

Walt,
They treat me very well.  I've been dealing with both companies for 2 years plus now, never had a problem, always shipped quickly, just excellent people at both companies to deal with.  Greg's is up in PA, so you'd probably get your stuff REAL quick...

Well I got a little done this afternoon, being a road warrior this weekend, some stuff I had to do today...

Got Mark's panel re-wired...

And got most of the electronics box done, ran out of daylight and my worklight crapped out!!

Blue Seas fuse block w/6 gang ground bus, saves running all the grounds down below...

My little genuinedealz stash...

Lot's more fun tomorrow!

So now she is starting to look like a boat again.  Electronics box done, save for a new anchor light and dome light.  Wires are there, just waiting on parts...

Starboard bilge looks a lot better, tomorrow the bilge (pumps) and the back end will be done.

Then it's on to the console...

Thank you gentlemen, they all get treated the same.  Just got back from running around Tampa this morn, so we'll see what this afternoon has in store...

Well, you huys know, as well as Mark, that with Maggie's issues, pretty much everything got put on hold.  But, almost back to full swing, trying to get Mark's boat finished up.  A couple-3 more days, she should be there.  So I basically have the console done, except for wiring in the switch panel.  Had to leave that for pretty much last, as it fits in a panel that I need to have down to get access to some stuff.  This console may be big, but you can't work inside it.  Everything is pretty much done laying on my back, side, sometimes stomach!  But I think she's looking pretty good...

I have the boats wiring running up the inside of the opening on the port side, the engine harnesses on the opposite side.  Secured, out of the way, yet relatively easily accessable.  You can see why I use a ground bus both at the helm and aft.  Grounds can start to add up REAL quick...

So I'm almost there, then onto a Pathfinder, then Jeff Donovan's Mako (for those who frequent Classic Mako).  Maggie's doing great, second chemo session yesterday, she feels fine, last visit to the orthopedic surgeon tomorrow morn...

Bob, you sure do nice work!  I'm glad you brought this thread back up.  I was thinking of removing my T-Top box this winter and re-finishing it (the powdercoat paint is starting to flake off).  That would give me a great opportunity to clean up the rats nest I managed to make over the years.  I know it won't end up nearly as nice as your work, but maybe I can make it a little more presentable than it is now.

And I'm glad to hear your wife is doing great!

Planning and patience, Craig.  Pull everything out and start over. The 205 console is a beetch to work in, you have to lay on your back on that slanted rise...been there, done that!
