Well its more like fiberglass bondo but that was just put in to fill gap between the new plywood and the deck but it will be fiberglassed over and feathered into the deck.

That thing will hold ice for days. We added that but never finished installing it. I am sorry that you had to have such a bad expeirience down here in marco island. its funny that you say that because the reason we are doing all the work on our boat is because the guy who was supposed to be working on it was always asking for money and he did nothing but steal gas out of our tank. And what do you mean by it appears to be from NorthEast/great lakes origin , are you talking about the hull, leaning post or the cooler seat?
X2. Any glass you apply will only have the bonding strength of whatever is under it. That gap oughta be beveled then taped together with glass. Then fairing compound on top. Epoxy is the best. Waterproof, doesnt shrink, and is much stronger.
