Just a little reminder tip of the day guys:

After spending the day washing your boat top to bottom be sure to lower your VHF antenna before towing your boat back to your storage yard!

Bummer.  I have a 6 or 8 foot antenna that I took off my boat.  Dont know too much about it , other than the plastic screw on base is broken, but but you welcome to it.

I snapped the top foot off of mine.  Which considering the tip of the antenna is at least 20' off the ground thats not bad.  There are black marks on it starting about half way up.  I must have been smacking every street light, phone and cable line for two miles  LOL. Thanks Skoot I already ordered a Gam SS-2 antenna to replace it.  http://www.gamelectronicsinc.com/products/mini-series  I had one on my 200XF and it worked REALLY good.  Besides it will be harder to break than the glass type... also I hate the glass styles anyways.

Been there! Backed my old Hatt into the slip with my usual panache, and the kid down the dock is screaming at me! Ignore the kid, back on in, snap x 4, there goes another antenna farm! Stupid kid, if he had'nt warned me, there would have been no witnesses.  :pale:
