Got the little Bas..ard

Got home from work about 6:00 tonight
Headed out to the shop to work on my sons car.
Saw I had a fairly fresh mole tunnel in the yard :cry:
Grabbed the water hose to wash the dirt back down the hole.

Didn't think much else about it after that.

Also found out the 60 year old fridge out in my shop stopped working  today :(  needless to say it was packed with beer

Transferred the beer to the fridge in the geerage.

After about a hour out in the shop I decided it was time for another cold one, had to head to the house for another.
On the way there, I'll be damned if there wasn't fresh dirt right where I had just sprayed it down no more than a hour ago.

Luckily I had left the water on and the nozzle was right by the fresh dirt.
Normally the only time you can get em with water is early morning, I mean day break, needless to say tonight I weren't prepared...had no shovel to whack the little bugger with.
Any hows I grabbed the hose and started spraying water down the tunnel and low and behold..I see a pink little nose coming up thru the water. Seeing how I wasn't prepared with a shovel I stomped on the little varmint in my gators.







You all may notice the little bugger was in the surrender position.... but I paid no mind :pirat:



You boys down yonder have gators, snakes, wild pigs and God knows what else !!

I think ours are blind and you use poison on them. They're smaller than yours.

The way to get rid of moles is to take away all their food.  All the other methods are worthless.  Kill all the underground grubs, worms, and other insects and the moles will move to your neighbor's yard.  In FL my yard was infested with moles.  There were so many tunnels it was hard to walk.  Then I got infested with fleas.  The local DIY pest control sold me some $expensive$ stuff to spray the yard.  Once the fleas were gone everything else was gone.  I assume it killed the underground insects too.  I did not see a mole tunnel for two years but within two weeks after spraying the neighbors were complaining about the moles that had suddenly moved in.

Problem with the little bastards is that even though you can see the mound of dirt moving, by the time you get over there, they're gone due to them hearing you (they may be blind, but they make up for it!).  We had them, didn't really do anything, they figured the neighbor behind us had a better selection of edibles...

But those peckerheads, still on my chit list!!
