My my, very interesting indeed.

Well I can't guess the year but it's not a Walkaround, rather a Family Fisherman.
Since you have the transom removed, you might want to entertain adding a couple of feet to the length of the hull.
Then again, maybe not.

Keep posting pics as you go.
Lastly, the use of periods, question marks, exclamation points will help with post reading.

Just sayin'

Good luck.

Stringers look strange - like a proline

ship, welcome!

It is not an Aquasport. Rick may be onto something, it sorta looks like a Proline.

Either way, forget the make....you're gonna have a LOT of money in this.... a lot of money just to make it safe.

Yes it was free...but its gonna take a minimum of 7K easy. Take a look in the rebuild section at some of the recent excellent Proline rebuilds.

Totally honest....pass on this. Especially with no transom to work to.  Hang on to your hard-earned toy money and keep looking :thumright:

Could even be an early Grady but I think they used straight wood in the stringers.

If you take a picture of the exterior of the hull from the bow at an angle down the side, we should be able to tell you what it is. What a shame to cut that boat up that way... As mentioned, you have a huge project now and I would think long and hard about moving forward with this hull.

Yeah I spotted the stringers right away.  Not an Aquasport.  For the money you would have to put into that hull you could just go out and buy one that is ready to go!  There is nothing remarkable or special about it to make it worth the investment in time and $$$$$$.

You may be right...especially the way the teak washboards are striped.

Does it not state the manufacturer on the title?
And if no title you might want to make sure you can get one before you sink any money & time into this one.
Have to agree with the others, if you've got a good running engine you'll be able to find a decent boat w/a blown engine for the same money it's gonna take to get this one back together.
A '74 Aquasport is a neat boat, but a '74 outboard is probably all used up, I'd be lookin for a boat to put that 150 on.

ship, where are you located?

EDIT: db, good thinking. That 150 needs to go on a solid twenty foot hull.
