1999 Aquasport 215 DC

You have probobly heard the expression " this is not my first rodeo"....well this is my forst rodeo with a seaworthy boat. I live in Tucson Arizona and wil be taking my boat to Bahia Kino on the Sea of Cortez in Mexico. My Aguasport is powered by a Mercury Optimax 200 HP. I have quite a few questions but will start with - does anybody have an "operating manual" for this boat ( if it even exist)? Since I have not even had the boat in the water I have not been able to test the life wells, sink ect. For some reason I do not see many Dual Console boats, for my purpose, crusing and fishing I think it will work out well. Any information will be appreciated.

Welcome aboard Phil  :salut: there really is no such thing as an operating manual, there were owner manuals, that described basic care and maintenance, but because boats have differing accessories and such.  Did you purchase without doing an actual "sea Trial" if so, you won't know what the "bugs" may be until you get it in the water.  Best you can do now without water testing is run the engine on a hose with the "muffs" hooked to the lower unit water pick up.  Also you can turn each switch on for your livewell, bilge pump/s, washdown, horn, navigation lights etc... and listen and look for their operation.  If you have specific questions about these things, then post back... good luck.. :thumright:

Yes I did purchase sight unseen but it was from a Marina / shop in Punta Gorda FL. and I was not only pleased in the boat but also in the integrity of the seller. The shop had gone through the motor and boat and to my knowledge a part was worn it was replaced - all appears to be in working order. I understand I will not know for sure until it is water tested. Thank you for your reply....

Welcome aboard :!:
That's quite a haul.  Just from Tucson to Bahai de Kino is showing 236 miles (on google earth) - gotta really want to go boating to travel that  :salut:  I lived in Sierra Vista for 5 yrs while in the service.
BTW, you like the DC model - a open boat that will please the missus and the guys.
