Tower w/Controls on a 170..??

Does anyone have a tower with controls on a 170 Aquasport? Or is the boat too small for this?

More beam, you may be OK, but still borderline. Stick with what you have, and if you want a tower boat, go with a 22-2.

or at least a 19-6 at a minimum. some say just a t-top on a 17 has an affect on its stability.

My 170 has a 6'10" beam and I can steer it just by moving my weight from center of the boat to one side or the other.  I don't think a tower on a boat this size would be safe at all.

Thanks for the info. I have a 31' Ocean Master center console for the gulf. I was just curious about a little tower on the 170.
