Over heat alarm yamaha 90 higher RPM?

I Tried The vinger flush in a approx a 25 gallon tub-(one of Moms Xmas storage tubs)
Worked for approx 8 min & the over heat alarm went -off multiplie times
Water was hot in the tub so i figured that helped it.
My next step was to run a remote pump & back flush thru the piss hole with the vinegar flush without the motor running
You guys think that will work ?

So replacing the water pump, thermostat, and poppet valve did not cure the problem?

I used a gallon the first time with prob 6 gallons of water.
Have been back flushing thru the pee hole with out running the motor.
Tonight iam going to flush with muffs & water hose to see what I get

Took out Sat AM-Did not get alarm
Did the Vinger flush looked at thru the thermostat cover before & after
definite was a difference- lot cleaner.
Changed Thermosate & POP valve
Not sure what what it was that kept kickin alarm but hopefully gone for good

Glad to hear you got past the issue... I was wondering what happened, part of giving technical advice is the feedback and whether or not it worked.
