As time allows, I can post detailed step by step rebuild pictures with brief descriptions that may benefit folks on future rebuilds. Some of the tips and tricks will hopefully save folks time and money on future rebuilds.
Good lookin' boat but I'm not a fan of wing nuts on battery posts. How are the raw water feeds mounted?Good luck.
Bob, I'm not sure I understand the question. I only know of one way to mount a clamshell pickup through the hull.
I see.So it looks similar to this underneath.http://www.jamestowndistributors.com/us ... Strainers#
Correct.Same as installed by the quality builders here. Internally, everything is parallel to the hull bottom, as low in the bilge as possible. There is a link on the Miss Delmarva rebuild thread to the Onslow Bay build post on THT. Their raw water intake install is exactly as shown above.Biggest reason boat owners switch over from Rule-style livewell pumps to expensive, high amperage draw, low flow diaphragm pumps....airlock issues.A proper install prevents the problem.
