20 inches, but then I cut my console so my toes can slide in another 5 inches.

Thanks everyone for your help!

We've come to the conclusion that the distance between parts is mostly a function of leg length. My inseam is 29", pretty short.  So the distance between fiberglass we have set at 17.5 inches.

This still allows for my gut to swing naturally :compress:

Scotty, has the helm been mounted?  The position and/or angle of the helm should be taken into consideration. Wouldn't want your gut to get in the way of steering Ms. D.

Thanks Fern, good thinking.

Yep, we put the 13" wheel on top of a big plastic upside-down cup. We had the helm up there to double check the measurements.

It is a tilt helm, so as my girth naturally increases due to age and extraneous factors beyond my control, I can tilt the helm up and fit naturally :colors:
