When preparing the boat on the trailer in my driveway,  I turn on the battery switch and immediately turn on the radio.  I get everything ready and then leave the radio on.  Because the music is on, I guess I never really hear any other sounds/noises.

Saturday morning I did not put on any music, turned the key on, the loud engine check beep went off as usual and then I heard something I have never heard before....a very high pitch sound coming from somewhere in the CC.   I have no idea how long this has been happening but certainly wasn't happening prior to May 13th.

Since Seabob4 re-wired the boat, I was able to keep the battery supply on and systematically take each fuse out one by one to see which would stop the noise.  The noise persisted.

I put my whole head in the CC and it sounded as if it was surrounding me!!!  I felt like I was loosing my mind.

Is it possible that this noise is coming from the ignition switch?  If it is, does that mean I am a few starts away from having to replace it?

Locate your overheat horn its in the wire harness coming from the key switch. That noise is designed to be ear piercing loud because you need to hear it when you're running 40 mph. Two things that may be causing this.

1) faulty temp sensor in the cylinder head(s)
2) faulty warning module that tells the alarm to Beep Beep for self test and low oil, or continuous alarm for overheat condition.

Both simple fixes...

Honestly, it is not ear piercing loud at all.  It is ever so faint that when the music is turned on low volume or the engine is running, you can not hear it.

It's just a super high pitch muted sound that is like a faulty fluorescent light ballast sound - - - if that makes any sense.

Maybe Seabob planted a device to send you high frequency subliminal messages. Have you developed any affections for small animals or any other peculiar behavior thats unexplainable since you got the boat back from Bob?

No high water Scott.  Hmmm...

Wes, put your finger on the warning horn, see if you can feel it vibrate.  As far as we both know, that is the only thing that is a sound generator in your console.  EXCEPT for the speakers.  Possible to be getting some ignition feedback through the speakers?  Although, with the stereo "OFF", I don't know if that can happen or not...

Farley...LOL!!!  You found out my secret!!

Farley, I've had a strange propensity to chase dogs, eat :*:, and howl at the moon.  I'll have to take this up with Bob at a later date.

Bob, here is the proof I am an idiot - where is this horn that you speak of?  How do I get to it?

Certainly wouldn't be so cavalier as to say this is where your horn is located but...

Here's where I found mine from the Factory after removing the paneling in my WAC, horn is top right in photo.

Personally, I like the stereo feedback idea,

I'm just sayin".

Good luck.

Looks like the typical WAC/Explorer rat's nest of wires - mine is the same way.
Wing, have you taken your covers off yet?  Your wiring is different? Seems there wasn't anywhere to put the wiring so they "bundled" it up.

HOLY RATS NEST Bob!

Unfortunately, as much as I like the "retro look" I had to do a little tinkering with this layout. I'll look for a pic of the current rat's nest.
I believe Fearless Leader actually had a rat living in his. I know if I was one, I'd like living there.

Yeah I've had my covers off.  Nothing like that!  In that area all there is is the back of the helm, the trim tabs and the flowscan.   Now there are some wires bundled up on the starboard side.   I didn't catch the area in this photo but the bundled wires are in the upper left of this pic.  The only wires behind my helm are the bundle you see in the top center of the pic:
