Star Board vs. Cutting Board
« on: June 14, 2012, 02:21:46 PM »
There may be a quick answer to this, but the white poly cutting board my wife just bought for the kitchen sure looks and feels like the piece of (expensive) Star Board I have on hand from a previous boat project...

You'd find that the cutting board will degrade in the sun.  Starboard is UV stabilized.   Keep in mind Starboard is a name brand made by the King company.  There are other brands available.  I find there is a HUGE markup in that stuff.

Most likely both are HDPE.

A rose by any other name.........

The UV will cost you about just under 3 cents a sq. inch more.
