Thanks for the offer SeaBob,
We have 2 out in Palm Coast that I am going to try this week. Update, 30+ mph wind here beach side with the Tropical Storm and gauge cover is still holding. Looks like the cuts in the cover worked.

bball,
Is the pier just south of 100 still there? Loved the drive N to St Augustine, A1A and the beach...cool...

Yes it is!
Infamous Flagler Beach pier. Saw it this afternoon, 8 foot waves almost touching the pier. Your are right, not many places in Florida where A1A or a coastal road will take you parallel to the beach from Flagler Beach to St. Augustine. Although the sleepy beach town has grown up. We are just north of Flagler Beach in Painters Hill, although the boat is stored on the lift in Flagler Beach. One of the best places in Florida to see 4th of July fireworks off the pier!

Camar0,
The gauge covers stood the test of the storm. Still staying on! The fit is not as tight as I would like but serves the purpose of covering the gauges and stays on. Hope you can find them.

Greg,
I was able to find these, however these lids will not snap/lock on. I just bought a new yamaha tach and while the cover fits over the diameter, it is unable to lock onto it (and this is not even installed yet).
sigh.........

Any way to put some single sided foam tape on the inside of the cover?

you would need double sided for it to stay on...
this was tested with new tach: 6y5-8350T-82

Was hoping that single sided would make it snug enough to stay on through storms and such, maybe not trailering, but not have exposed glue to capture everything that gets near it.

Yeah, I did a new set of gauges bought a Central Marine
Good price, and just the gauges not the harness, not cheap though.
Just a question on the covers
is it a heat issue or the UV of the sun?
I have a canvas for my console.
PO did not.

It's the sun, Bryan. Keep them covered, they'll be fine...

Hey guys I have been a long time reader on this forum for years while researching 19-6 and 22-2 Aquasport builds. I know this is an older thread but I just wanted to let everyone know who is still looking for Yamaha Gauge Covers that I manufacture them here in the USA and they are available on my website at
www.Offshoreplastics.com
. You can also find them on eBay at
http://www.ebay.com/usr/offshoreplasticsinc
Thank you,
