« on: May 15, 2012, 09:35:24 AM »
I would love to have a copy of a manual for the Aqua Explorer 21.5
Bougt mine about a year ago but I'm in the dark about some of the basic info.
Anyone has one I can copy or buy?  Lou :salut:

People in Hell would love ice water but....
Like Hell based ice water, there isn't a whole lot out there.

For awhile, Wellcraft had some late model generic manuals (both Aqua and WC) on their website. They have removed all the Aqua and have limited WC manuals (you can find a link in the Resource forum).

You can also look for a Wellcraft manual for a 210 Coastal. It is the same boat as your 215 EX just with different decals. The 210 is not found on the WC site. :(
There are several active 215 EX members here so maybe something will show up.

Asking questions on the Forum is usually your best and fastest way to get familiar with the inner workings of the boat model. We have a fair amount of later model members active and working through the same general problems. It's one of the best assets of this Forum so give it try.

Good luck.

Really, as Bob said, the manuals don't really tell you much about the boat other than pretty generic info.

Whatever you're unclear on, ask away, we'll be able to help.  Wouldn't be surprised if one of your questions deals with fishbox draining and pumpout...

My 1998 245 Explorer came with a owners manual but it was very generic and covered all models of the boats.  I plan on scanning it as soon as I figure out how to scan a multiple page pdf file.

As has been said, the owners manual was pretty much a function of necessity for sales, but provided very generic and useless information.  This site is your owner's manual, or more correctly stated your Aquasport Bible.

Thank you guys.  I guess you really answered my question.  And yes, one of my concerns is actually the fish holds and pump out.  Also, when fueling gas keeps coming back up as if it has a kink on the fuel hose but the tanks are very inaccessible on the Explorer as there are only 2 medium size access ports.  I'm learning as I go.

Lou,
I see you asked this earlier and received no response. It sure sounds like a venting problem so....

I'll venture a guess that you checked the end of the vent for any obstructions.
If it is clear then (remember, this is what I would do), I would attempt to blow back into the tank through the vent. With my aluminum tank, I can actually hear the tank flex due to the increased air pressure inside. This is something that can be done without too much problem. Remember, this is just my idea and doesn't necessarily reflect the Forum's position. It is however a good troubleshooting device. If there is something in the vent, you may run the risk of dislodging it and having the blockage enter the tank (think maybe water). It's a risk you run but it may solve the problem.

Good luck.

Mine does the same thing. I had to move the fill hose when I installed the second battery and it has done that ever since.  Couple things, try and keep the boat level. If she leans to much to the fueling side it worsens.  Also, when fueling make sure the fill is away from the fuel dock and let the hose sag in the cock pit. Sounds weird but helps. Last, pump it in slow.  Sometimes it takes a while but it beats the gas backing up and spilling.

Thanks guys.  The vent is cleared as I tried that already.  Someone else mentioned that the hose may have a kink as it turns toward the tank.  Maqybe I'm looking at it wrong, but there is barely any room to even take a peak and unlike the center consoles, the floor cannot be lifted.  By the way, can anyone tell me what the fuel capacity is in the 21.5?  I was told originally 50 gals.  is that right?  Thanks again.  Lou

I'm foggy on your model year but the 215 EX is shown with a 100 gal. tank in 04 and a 99 gal. in 97 so if it's original, it's safe to say your tank capacity is 100 gal.

There's only one guy I know of running a tank smaller than 100 gals. in a WAC on this Forum but then he's odd to say the least. 8)
