Been overcast for two days straight, what a relief, no rain yet.

:thumright:

Rain from the heavens is a lot better than a sprinkler. Contains nitrogen.

When there is lightening...contains even more nitrogen.

There was a show about it on the Discovery Channel.

Anyway...reckon that's why everything greens up after a rain.

Good old-fashioned Carolina late spring Northeaster. Check the radar link, just sitting there, spinning.

Lot of squally rain/wind.

The oldtimers said a Northeaster lasts an odd number of days...1, 3, 5, etc. Ever since heard that in my early twenties....a solid 90% of the time it has held true.

Actually, a beautiful night here, nice breeze from the east, beats the hell out of the 90 during the day!  Scott, we'd like your weather about now!

Well by golly...we said it was spinning like a baby hurricane...tonight, the NWS named the little spinner.

"Alberto"...first named storm of the year.

Gimme a break. It ain't tropical, it ain't hurricane season, and it ain't nothing but a spinning low that went offshore and got pinned back on the coast by an incoming wrap-around high.

45 mph gusts...it was doing that three days ago.  Have a few tree branches in the yard to prove it.

Gimme a break.

Just to chime in on this weather discussion here -

Went out fishing with Dad and my little nephew yesterday.  The trout cooperated with us much more than the weather... Overcast all day, windy as hell, wind chill in the 50's.  Its the first Saturday I've been able to do anything other than plan a wedding, so I seized the opportunity.

Had plans to take the Aquasport out, but at the last minute my dad snagged this Key West 21' Bay Boat prototype.  It didn't have near the character of my old Aqua, but man was it a dream to run.  With 150hp, it did 53mph, and cruises comfortably over the white caps @ 40+ mph.  Aside from the boldly (ugly) colored cushions, it sure was nice to have on a day like yesterday..

Everyone doing OK?  Got a little needed rain from this storm and no damage I hope. Radar still looks kinda rough in some areas of North Fla.
