The ID tag is gone.
anyone know of other markings I can find out year etc.

The carbs may have some ID on them?  You could backfit the PNs to at least the era of the motor for parts application purposes IE: most parts fit say a 90 HP from 1987-1994 etc... Other than that, there may be some casting numbers in the block.  Try you question over on THT, Andy from SIM Yamaha may come on and give some advice?

Not sure about Yammies but I think most manufacturers stamp the serial number on a power head freeze plug. I'm sure there is a number hiding on it somewhere.
