c90w Raymarine System
« on: April 29, 2012, 11:59:07 PM »
Hi Guys,
Was shopping at Worst Marine today purchasing some 5200. I walked by the electronics.
They had a sale on the C 90 W RayMarine system (2199.00)
The new touch screen is out.
I stepped it up and got the Gold Navatronics Google card 3d and the Weather module
Sirius Antenna
Bought the RayMarine Sounder with the temp.
Also, bought the 2 yr extended warranty.

I have an older RayMarine radar chart plotter combo
 RL 72?
Also a Furuno fish finder 582 (I like this unit).
Also a Separate color RayMarine chart plotter RC 435I
to replace this all in one with.

I have the 1995 Osprey 24.5 (25?)
Center console and Electronic box overhead
Looking for opinions on installation
Since it is an all in one unit I was thinking a NavPod???
Also was thinking about not using the FF
and upgrading my Furuno 582 to a newer model

Anyway just looking for install ideas.
Bob, this may be directed at you?
MY CC does not come up too high. In fact,
I thought about adding on the height and re gel coating
it??

As always thanks for the opinions positive or negative
I appreciate you guys and this site very much

Bryan

Bryan,
The newer console would be perfect for what you want to do (see Pete's console), but that is probably out of the question.  I would recommend lopping off the top of the console and adding to the height befor thinking about a Nav pod.  They just look funky to me, like an afterthought...which is what they are.

JMHO...

Hi Bob, yes, that is exactly what I think as well.
I dont like the afterthought look.

I thought about having the guys cut the top 2 or 3 or so inches off raise it up
fill it in and it should do the trick?

Thanks for the opinion

Bryan

What shaft length do I need?
