I know the land owner Charles Cowart. These were out of towners from out west who were hunting at their "lodge". She's still in the hospital with both legs shot (one shot with a rifle). He broke the cardinal rule; If you cant see where the bullet is going don't take the shot.

I don't know what she was shot with but the standard hog bush rifle down here is a lever action 30/30. He only shot once and took out both her legs. The local news say's she doing OK.

Okay, I gotcha now. When you said one shot with a rifle, I thought it was one leg was shot with a rifle, the other with something else.

Yep, you were right about the caliber, saw another article that said it was a 30/30.

Something ain't right with that story that WESH put out there.  Says the guy was in his tent with his girlfriend, who ended up the one being shot...HUH???
