Had Greg's Marine wire make me alllllllllll types of custom primary cables, as well as tons of various other types of wires. Delived it to my house and someone stole it.......right out of my goddamed driveway. $200 of Marine grade wire and cable walked off.

I mean, I know the stuff is expensive, but what the f*ck is someone going to do with it in PA? How are you going to explain to a pawn shop that you just so happaned to not need this 40 feet of 2GA wire?

I'm guessing it was stolen thinking it was something like a playstation, or a DVD player. My guess is that it was tossed in a dumpster or hurled into the woods when they realized "it's just a bunch of stooooopid wires".

If they sold it, I hope they buy a whole bunch of crack and die.

Most of the time its not that their that hard up, their just worthless scum-sucking dirtbags  who have grown up under generations of no moral guidance and the instant gratification mindset... sorry about you situation Fletch... was it insured for something with UPS or whoever the shipper was?  You'd love to catch one walking off with it huh??

So, long story short, even if the package was insured by USPS, they would have denied the claim as they can't take responsibility of theft once it was delivered. So then what the F*ck are you taking out insurance for? In case the USPS does a s*itty job? Thats like getting insurance for your steak dinner in case they burn the fu*ker. "Oh sorry usps, I was unaware you were planning on delivering my package by firing it out of a goddamed cannon."

I'm only 31, and I can say with confidence, we are getting dumber by the decade.

I was raised to say "please" and "thank you", and you DO NOT STEAL. You work hard for the things that are yours, and you take care of them.

I've put out adds on craigslist about the stolen stuff, offered a $500 reward for the arrest of the dirtbag.

have a confirmation of delivery, spoke to my maillady who i know on a first name basis, she described it and said she put the box right in front of my garage.

Its not worth the reward. If the materials cost you 200 and say they do arrest the person thats another 500 which means you are out 700 bones. When the person will only be charged with petty theft that carries a bond of 250 most of the time. I know your hot and it's the principle of the matter and in these economic times nobody wants to just throw money away. But sometimes you just have to bite the bullet. It sucks but dont put out more money than what you paid for the product. My 2¢.

Contact the seller and tell them you never received it.  It's not yours until you take possession.  Let them argue with USPS - you ordered it, you paid for it, you never go it - isn't that all correct?

Absolutely. Until you open it, ie take physical possession...it is "lost in transit."

There was no signature/proof of delivery.

1. Greg from Greg's marine didn't do anything wrong, he has a business to run and mouths to feed. He bought the materials, made the cables and sent them. Some sh!thead kid stole the box.....I would have paid for fedex or something if I remember correctly.

2. USPS did their job and got the shipment to my house,,,outside of throwing it through my window, they couldn't have done any more.

3. happens, it does. I've been blessed with a lot of things in my life...if this is the worst thing to happen this week, I'm a lucky dude.

4. I'm going to be the better person here, I had some bad luck. I'll take my lumps, go to work tomorrow and work even harder.

Good deal. As Greg is a small biz, even better. If Greg were Worst Marine, etc....different flavor.

If may make a suggestion....next box, have them deliver it to your office, "signature required"

Hate you had to deal with this. But with copper prices the way they are....can guarantee that box isn't under a bush somewhere.

The next shipment will most definately be "signature Required".

When I spoke to the police, they said this happens in my development quite frequently, but mostly during the holidays. As it's a nice neighborhood, with concentrated homes in a smaller area, criminals from Philadelphia drive through and basically go shopping.

Scott, I know, those cables are long gone. Most likely sold for $20 bucks. Oh well.

Sorry to here, Christian.  Fortunately for us, where we live has 0 crime (yeah, I know, no such place!), and when our UPS guy comes (late afternoon), I'm home.

Your best bet is just have it delivered to the office.  Even if your out, it will be there waiting when you get back, whether it's later in the day or the next morning...
