yeah his eye is getting cloudy so your right he is about to shed.  That means he can't see for crap so watch out he might be a bit testy!  He looks cool...  what is he a king snake?

Dam I hate snakes, just looking at one gives me the willies.
Thank God we ain't got much for snakes out here....well except for politicians anyways.

We ain't much on snakes around here.

Only demand for snakes is some church services, and appetizers in the Green Swamp.

Baldwin County, Alabama Boy Scout Camp a couple of years ago.  That's my son in law's foot and he is a big ol' boy.

Don't forget the tiki torches.


I wish I had gotten a picture of the scarlet king snake that was sunning on the threshold of my front door a couple of years ago.  I just knew it was a coral snake until my heart slowed down enough to remember the rhyme "Red on yellow will kill a fellow".  He crawled off into the bushes before I could find the camera.  That will test your heart better than any stress test and EKG.

For those that don't know, here are sample pics of a scarlet king and a coral for comparison.
